Condolence: Dear Wall Family,
I shall miss my friend Bill, but I rejoice that I shall see him again. I thank God for the blessing of the years we have shared on our earthly journey. The many memories of Bill's passion to share Jesus brightened and lightened my heart. May your memories bring you an awareness of the Presence and Peace of our God. Prayerfully, Jean Holmes

Condolence From: Ann Hardin
Condolence: I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He has been a special part of my life for most of my memory. He taught my Sunday School class throughout my teen years and when I was running the bookstore I always enjoyed him coming in and talking. He will truly be missed. You are all in my prayers. Condolence: Dear Pat: I'm so sorry for your loss. Bill was my football team mate and roommate at Ferrum Jr. College and a close, dear friend for 58 years. I always enjoyed our conversations (Bill talking, me listening) covering a wide range of subjects, his off the wall e-mails that he copied everybody with, and our annual treks to Coach and Polly's for a great day of memories:

A true "one of a kind".

Condolence: Shannon, Donna and Bethany, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your father. I remember talking with him years ago about the youth camps. And I will say that he and your mother raised three lovely daughters.
Thinking of you all.

Condolence: Pat and family,

I was just thinking about Bill a couple days ago and remembering when I worked for him at Youth Camps, Inc. and W.H.W. Marketing. He was my first "boss" and I learned so much from him. Merita and I send our deepest condolences.

Condolence: Dear Pat, As you well know Bill was like "family" to Polly & me and his 50+ teammates from Ferrum College's 1957-58 football teams. As his college coach & history teacher I am so proud of the life he lived -always concerned "with others - not self". He was truly an unforgettable and cherished friend who we will all miss. He will always be our beloved Quarterback & friend until we meet again. Our prayers & blessings- Coach Barnes & Polly

Condolence From: Eddie Crowder
Condolence: Bill has been a part of my life since I was 12 years old and playing on the first organized youth sports team(baseball)in South Hill. Even as a young player on that team, Bill was part organizer and part coach. Bill was a dreamer and a believer who loved his family, his church, and helping young people. We challenged each other's thoughts and beliefs often. I hope the exchanges helped him as much as they helped me.

Rest in peace my friend.

My condolences to his family.
